Welcome to Our New Website
We're excited to announce the launch of Dark Dragons Astronomy's new website! We've built this site from the ground up to showcase everything DDA has to offer and make it easier than ever to find the right automation solutions for your observatory.
What You'll Find
The new site gives you complete access to our product catalog, including detailed pages for all of our observatory automation solutions:
- DragonLAIR WiFi Controller — Our flagship roll-off roof automation system with ASCOM Alpaca and INDI support, now powering 50+ installations across North America
- DragonLIGHT Controller — Flat panel controller that works with any 12V LED source, serving multiple telescopes from a single unit
- MiniLAIR Observatory — Free plans for building a 6'×6' roll-off roof observatory, designed to look like a shed for HOA-restricted neighborhoods
- Complete Drive Systems — Industrial-grade motors, precision gears, steel racks, and mounting hardware for roofs up to 16 feet
You can browse by category—Observatory Control, Flat Lights, and Commercial solutions—and find exactly what you need for your setup.
Built for You
We've designed this site with our customers in mind. Whether you're a backyard astrophotographer looking for DIY solutions, a serious amateur upgrading to full automation, or a research facility seeking professional-grade equipment, you'll find the information and products you need.
The Support section provides access to technical documentation, installation services, and warranty information. And if you're not sure where to start, our consultation service can help you design the right system for your observatory.
What's Next
This launch is just the beginning. We'll be adding more content to the Blog, expanding our product documentation, and continuing to develop new solutions for the astronomy community.
We're proud of what we've built and excited to serve you. Clear skies!
