When should I enroll?
Anytime before your 1-year standard warranty expires. We recommend enrolling at purchase so you never have a gap in coverage, but you can add DragonSHIELD anytime during that first year.
Is there a deductible?
No. If your equipment fails and you're covered, we replace it at no additional cost.
Can I transfer my coverage?
Yes. DragonSHIELD coverage transfers to the new owner at no charge. Contact us with the new owner's information, and we'll update the account. It's a selling point when listing your gear.
What about equipment I buy later?
DragonSHIELD Complete and Commercial plans automatically cover new DDA purchases. For DragonSHIELD Single, you choose which device to cover—contact us if you want to change your covered device.
Can I switch between plans?
Yes. Contact us and we'll adjust your plan. The price difference applies starting your next billing cycle.
Does DragonSHIELD cover my whole observatory?
DragonSHIELD covers Dark Dragons Astronomy products only—controllers, sensors, and accessories we manufacture or sell. Your telescope, mount, and cameras would need coverage from their respective manufacturers.
